Is the Supernatural Possible?
Is it possible for there to be a supernatural being? -Do you know 100% of the existing knowledge? So since we can’t know everything…it could be possible. So we can’t rule out that science could point toward an intelligent designer. We can’t prove that there is a supernatural or that there isn’t a supernatural, but physical evidence can point one way or another. We also can’t rule out miracles. We shouldn’t rely on miracles though. We shouldn’t stop our scientific endeavors...

J Harlen Bretz first started studying the Pacific Northwest in 1922. In 1923, he developed a flood model for the cause of the geological formations in that area. “Bretz was openly and vigorously ridiculed for presenting such a ludicrous notion as a flood model for the scablands since this region had obviously been carved out over millions of years by uniformitarian processes.” (http://www.detectingdesign.com/harlenbretz.html) “Before a theory that requires a seemingly...

Read MoreHow Old is the Earth?
Are we simply learning more through better science and technology or is this the result of a continuing trend away from the Bible? Estimates for the Age of the Earth: Throughout History – Bible-believers – based on genealogies – about 6,000 years 1779 – Comte de Buffon – 78,000 1786 – Abraham Werner – 1 million years 1800’s – Charles Lyell – estimated 80 million years for the Cenozoic Era alone. 1860 – based on amount of fossil-filled sedimentary rocks – 3...
Read MoreScary Times – Genetic Engineering and Bioethics!
We are in scary times when it comes to what we can do with technology. This article does even refer to bioethics, but I think the scary thing is…from an evolutionary worldview (i.e. Survival of the Fittest) – what is bioethically “right” or “wrong”? From a completely naturalistic/evolutionary worldview…is there any boundary or limit to how we can or cannot affect the genetics of another person! ...
Read MoreData in Your DNA!
Scientists can now build practically any DNA sequence that they want which is allowing us to use it as a storage device. One research team has engineered DNA strands to store the information for an operating system, text, images, and a movie and they were able to successfully retrieve it. This technology could make huge strides in progress – think about it as they put it – “all your data in a drop of DNA.” Let’s not forget, though, that this is clearly the work of a...
Read MoreGhost Craters and the Moon’s Black Eye!
The surface of the Moon is pocked-marked by craters, but what is possibly the most interesting are the Ghost Craters! The moon’s black spots are the part of the surface that is made up of the rock – basalt. Basalt is a volcanic rock – formed due to lava flows. As you can see with the naked eye, those are huge regions across the surface of the moon that must have had huge lava flows. Based on observations, it looks like the black spots or marias have formed due to huge...

A gentleman delivered a package to AOI. He told Glenn at our office to pass on a message to Mary Jo and I: I first met you in Germany when I was in the military. My kids are still talking about the Creation program we attended! Wow! We calculated that it would have been 27 years ago. The Creation message has an impact! -Dave Nutting (Ask us about God’s working in Hungary...

It’s interesting how, in the quote below, the researcher says that you have the same orders of insects throughout history, but where are the transitional forms leading up to these different kinds of insects. “And then you have to observe it very carefully, and sometimes hours, and sometimes days, weeks, months pass before you finally find the perfect situation in order to come to a final conclusion as to its identity. Usually, we can find some order, extent order to put...
