River Deltas and the Age of the Earth

Posted by on May 6, 2010 in Creation Nuggets | 0 comments

If the world is millions or billions of years old as evolutionists claim, river deltas should extend hundreds of times farther out into the ocean than they do. If earth were created around 6000 years ago as the Bible leads us to believe, deltas should be more or less the length we find them now.

So what can those who insist on believing in millions of years claim if they look at a map and see that the longest deltas at the mouths of the worlds large rivers only extend around 100 miles farther out than the earlier natural shore line?

Most evolutionists have never looked at deltas on a map and thought about them. Instead, they believe some atheist’s interpretation of radiometric dates. But if a courageous evolutionist looks at a map, he will see clear evidence that the world was created recently.

He could explain away the evidence by claiming that deltas once were long, but a huge world wide flood came along later and cut them short, but chances are that he does not believe in the flood either.

Speak up atheists and liberal theologians! Which will you choose? Are deltas short because the world was created recently or they are short now because a few thousand years ago a huge world wide flood cut the ends off of of them?

Believe it or not, deltas, as we see them on the maps today shout:

Recent creation!

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.”
(Rom. 1:20)
