While out on the road on teaching circuits, all of the speakers at AOI try to take every opportunity to teach about God and His Creation. The following is a rough breakdown of more-or-less typical week of ministry in the field: Monday and Tuesday – Travel to Ainsworth, NE. … Meet with church officials and get settled in with a host family (another 25 minutes of travel to their home). Wednesday – Have lunch and visitation with Pastor or members of the church (typical 2+...

God is sooo Good! We recently had a last minute cancelation with only a few days to fill it. But God is so good, and He filled it with an event at a church near Cornerstone Bible Institute where our daughters, Claudia and Abby, attend. So we were able to see them and celebrate Abby’s birthday on Sept. 19th. I was also blessed with the opportunity to teach an additional two hour Genesis class at the Institute. As it states in Proverbs, God truly guides our stays....

Last week I was invited to speak at Tuesday Night Live (TNL). This is a weekly evening event put on by Master Plan at Mesa State (a college here in Grand Junction, CO) where students get together for singing, challenging talks, discussion, and fellowship. This Christian college club also has a lot of other activities for the students: Bible studies, game nights, retreats, picnics, etc. If you know of a student(s) attending Mesa State College, have them check out Master...

We have just finished teaching creation to another group of students at Summit Ministries. We had three sessions plus an open forum with them. This is the last session of Summit this year. We are already looking forward to more groups next year. Whenever we have large (or small) groups of high-school and college-age students, we really enjoy being there. Pray that some of these students will be taking the information we just gave them to new levels and to places we will...

Wow! Marilyn and I definitely had to rely on the strength of the Lord this summer! It was exhausting, but what an awesome and fruitful ministry we have had! Here is a brief synopsis of events: Family Vacation Bible Schools (adults and children) in Broken Bow, NE; in Lilliput near Broken Bow, NE; in Chadron, NE; in Rawlins, WY; in Pound, WI; in Holyoke, CO; Family church seminars in The Dalles, OR; in Newberg, OR; in Cook, WA; Bible Camp Wa-Ri-Ki (for boys 9 – 12 years old)...

After a quick 1-day turn-around from speaking in the Netherlands, we arrived mid-week at AOI’s Creation Family Mountain Adventure. We were blessed to find the camp going very well in the capable hands of the Stepanek family, together with volunteers, the Galbraiths and the Nances. This year marked our 24th year of Creation Family Camps at Redcloud. Not only do these camps provide a great vacation for families in a beautiful mountain setting, but they also provide a...

It was a great week for the AOI Creation Mountain Adventures Family Camp located at the beautiful Redcloud Ranch near Lake City, CO. The people who attended the sessions were eager to learn about creation and study the book of Genesis. Actually, many were so eager that we had to do extra sessions in the evenings. It was not uncommon to teach from 9:00 p.m. to 10:30 or 11:00 p.m. – Monday thought Thursday. We taught several who were struggling with the idea of a...

We’re back from The Netherlands, safe and sound! It was a packed trip, with some very LONG days, but God gave great grace and sustained us well. Now we’ve done a quick turn-around, adjusting to jetlag, and are currently at AOI’s Creation Mountain Adventure at Redcloud. Teaching in The Netherlands was an interesting cross-cultural experience! Audiences were almost entirely composed of Chinese living in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, or Spain. At the Youth Camp (ages...

I had another great week at Camp Salvation near Trinidad, CO. The second week I was able to minister to 7th and 8th grade students. I also had the privilege to bunk in a cabin with the boys. This gave me a greater opportunity to get to know them and minister to their spiritual needs. God blessed us with twelve lives given to Christ, three of which were in my cabin. Some of the questions asked were: “Why did Jesus have to die?”; and “Why did God have to...

The day started early Monday morning with pick up at 7:30 AM and a 1-1/2 hour drive through rainy but beautiful farm country to southern Holland. We were scheduled to teach through Friday at an evangelistic camp with over 120 Dutch young people, mostly of Chinese descent. The “camp” is actually in an old monastery in a very beautiful and peaceful country setting. It was a real treat for the young people to be there, since most of them live fast-paced city lives. Teaching...

We arrived safely in Amsterdam over 16 hours after leaving our home – a little wrinkled, but glad for the opportunity to be here to do a packed schedule of creation teaching! Our hosts met us at the airport and took us to our hotel to freshen up and get a short nap before heading to church for a time of introduction, fellowship, and a taste of Chinese hospitality. Following that, we experienced some of the “fringe benefits” of a traveling ministry. First we were treated to...

As Christians, we pray and believe that God directs our paths each day, but sometimes He gives us clear confirmation of His leading. Upon receiving the invitation to teach in the Netherlands, we were not sure it was God’s timing, as we already had a very packed schedule for the summer. However, as we prayed, we became convinced that God was indeed opening the door for us to go. Our decision was confirmed on the second leg of our flight. When I noticed one of the flight...
