“Darwin’s theory of biological change was based on competition, or survival of the fittest, among the individuals making up a species. Beneficial cooperation is common within nature. But miraculously, the yucca moth doesn’t lay too many eggs in each yucca plant – otherwise the larva would eat all of the seeds in the plant and the yucca plant would become extinct.
Miraculously, sharks don’t chomp down on a free meal of cleaner fish that are cleaning away potentially harmful debris left in its teeth.
In the same fashion, miraculously, crocodiles don’t eat the birds that clean its teeth.
