In Genesis 1, after the creation of man, God said that all that He had created was “very good.” Some people believe that long ages of history and the Bible are both true. But if there was already death and disease in the fossil record millions of years before humans, was it actually “very good.” If God told Adam and Eve that there would be thorns as part of the curse and also death…Adam and Eve would have given God quite the funny look – “but God, there are already thorns and things die all the time!”
