Scientists found fossil squid with the ink sacs still preserved intact and they were even able to take and rehydrate the ink and “draw a picture of the fossil animal and write its Latin name underneath.”
One researcher said: “It is difficult to imagine how you can have something as soft and sloppy as an ink sac fossilised in three dimensions, still black, and inside a rock that is 150 million years old.”
Maybe the real question should be: Are you sure it’s 150 million years old?
