Changes have been observed to have occurred in Nebraskan Deer Mice! There was a mutation. Natural Selection did favor a different colored mouse population. But the mutation did not create new genetic information, but a change or loss in pre-existing information as we can see with this quote:

Creationists “have no problem with the terms natural selection, mutations, and adaptations when properly applied.9 Indeed, we never had problems in principle with the similar story of natural selection of dark or light peppered moths (Biston betularia) in England, even before the discovery of staged photos.10”
