PSALM 92:1-2 – “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night.”
We are so thankful for the Lord’s lovingkindness and faithfulness as we recently concluded another seminar tour (we are heading out today for another tour). It was a very good trip, not unlike many, many before it, but it was a bit busier than most. At our first location Rich taught for six straight nights, but the most interesting event on the tour was our next stop.
At this event, the church had requested a day- long session on a Saturday. They wanted to span the teaching from 8:30 in the morning until 5:30 that afternoon, with just an hour break for lunch. We thought it might be a bit long for both the speaker and the listeners, but we agreed. It was a great day and we were very pleased by the number of people that stayed for the entire day. They were a very faithful, attentive, and interactive group! And we were very thankful the speaker’s voice held out as well!
We also met an individual that day who was explaining how he had met Rich about 18 years ago. This meeting had encouraged him to pursue studies in creation and, subsequently, had even been involved in research projects with ICR (Institute for Creation Research) over the years. It is so fascinating to see how the Lord intertwines our lives to accomplish His plans and purposes! He uses our differing gifts and talents to accomplish His will. We never (or very seldom) know how just a small word of encouragement can affect the lives of others.
